I've been working on James Stokoe's amazing Godzilla series the past few months as a color assistant. Here's the cover for issue #2! I only did the flats here, the actual lines/color selection/pretty rendering credit all goes to :iconelspike-o: you can see more of his recent work at [link] that also has some more Godzilla previews. Out of the four new Godzilla comic series so far, this one is proving to be the best, in my opinion. "Gangsters and Goliaths" probably takes second place, but it focused a little bit too much on the humans. "Half-Century War" does a great job of balancing focus between human characters and monsters. And don't get me started on the two longer-running series; what was up with the human strike team taking out monsters like after-8 mints in... Godzilla issue 4, I think it was?

Oh really? I had no idea you were working on the series with Matt Frank and others. I had been worried the series was cancelled when Kingdom of Monsters stopped showing up at the shop. Great stuff!

That's So fucking awesome!!! I'm gonna buy issue one when it come out. Funny enough I also pre ordered Godzillaz vs Megalon on dvd which comes in the mail in August. It's gonna be a Godzillathon
